We perform the following functions:

• Manage and maximize the value of the oil and gas rights owned by Weyerhaeuser in over 7 million net mineral acres in the United States. We currently have over 1,000 producing oil and gas wells across our ownership.
• Evaluate mineral potential with our extensive technical database, including 2D and 3D seismic and geologic data sets.
• Market exploration and development opportunities to targeted customers.
• Lease operating rights to qualified oil and gas companies. We negotiate and structure win-win deals. And we administer the oil and gas leases and agreements.
• Consider equity participation depending on risk.
• Maintain GIS databases across our ownership.
• Account for production, revenue and expenses related to oil and gas wells and leases.
