Forest Management Plans
The CSA requirements for public participation in the development of a
sustainable forest management plan are stringent. To achieve registration,
organizations are required to seek comprehensive and continuing public
participation, including a special effort to involve Aboriginal Peoples, at the
local community level.
Weyerhaeuser greatly appreciates the efforts of the community advisory groups
that assisted in the development of the local SFM Plans. The advisory groups
remain actively involved in the review of performance against the plan and its
continual improvement.
