British Columbia
Weyerhaeuser has operated in British Columbia since 1965. The company manages 2.36 million hectares of public land in British Columbia. Every year the company plants millions of tree seedlings in B.C.
All Weyerhaeuser's B.C. forest operations are certified to ISO 14001, an international standard for environmental management systems. All are also certified under the Canadian Standards Association Sustainable Forest Management standard. The manufacturing facilities have obtained chain-of-custody certification.
Trees harvested in British Columbia produce dimension lumber, cedar products (decking and shingles), flooring, paneling and millwork, engineered lumber and bleached softwood kraft pulp. Wood products are sold primarily to North American markets.
