Making WAVES (Weyerhaeuser Active Volunteer Employees) and iWAVE
(Individual Weyerhaeuser Volunteer Employee).
Making WAVES and iWAVE consist of employees, retirees, and their friends and family
members who are dedicated to giving time, energy and resources toward bettering
the neighborhoods where they live and work. Many efforts are additionally supported
by the Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation,
which provides grants to the organizations for which you volunteer. Fueled by this
powerful combination of monetary funding and personal involvement, we strive to
improve social conditions both locally and around the world.
Employees can also become engaged in their community by serving on a local Foundation
Advisory Committee. These committees develop local funding priorities to support
their own unique community within the Weyerhaeuser
Company Foundation’s community-giving framework, meet with organizations
applying for philanthropic support, and recommend Foundation grants that nurture
the quality of life in Weyerhaeuser communities.
