We want to make it easy for you to become a part of the Weyerhaeuser team. This section provides answers to the most common questions to get you started on your career search.

What is the best way to apply for a job?

First, find a job that interests you using Job Search and simply click "Apply Online" within the job description. New users will be asked to create a Candidate Profile. Provide the required information, including an electronic copy of your resume, and answer all questions on your application. A confirmation window will appear once you have successfully submitted your application.

If you don't see a job that interests you right now, we still encourage you to tell us about your career interests by completing a Candidate Profile. We will notify you via e-mail of future opportunities that match your interests. You can update your profile at any time.

Please note: To be formally considered for most positions at Weyerhaeuser, you must apply online. Hard copy and e-mail resumes are not accepted. We hire for production and skilled-trades positions at our individual locations. Find a location near you by visiting our Locations page.

How can I get technical help with submitting my profile or applying for jobs?

How will I know if you've received my resume?

Once you have completed the online application, you will receive an e-mail confirmation.

Will I receive notification if I am not a top candidate for a job?

You will be contacted only if you are a top candidate and the hiring managers want to speak with you directly.

What happens after I submit my resume?

The Human Resources team that supports the hiring manager will have direct access to view your resume and application. You will be contacted if your skills match the requirements for the position.

Do I have to submit a new resume every time I apply for a job?

No. Once you register with a user name and password, your information is saved in the Weyerhaeuser database. You will have the option to update your resume at any time.

How often are new jobs posted?

New jobs can be posted at any time. We recommend that you create a Candidate Profile on this site, so we can notify you when new positions that match your interests become available.

Does Weyerhaeuser offer internships?

Yes. We also hire recent graduates. Visit our For Students section of this site for details about our specific college recruiting programs.

Does Weyerhaeuser offer temporary or contract employment?

Yes. We contract with temporary agencies and consulting firms to meet our contingent workforce needs. These firms help us identify potential candidates for full-time employment through a "temp-to-staff" arrangement.

How can I find out about hourly jobs at production facilities?

Hiring for production and skilled-trades positions is managed by individual locations. To see if there is a location near you, visit our Locations page. To be considered, you will need to submit a Weyerhaeuser application. Some locations accept applications directly; others require applications to be submitted with the state employment office.

How can I find out the salary range for the job I'm interested in?

Weyerhaeuser offers competitive pay to attract and retain high-quality employees. We benchmark similar positions to ensure our pay levels are in line with other employers seeking similar skills. If your skills and experience match our needs, a Weyerhaeuser recruiter will contact you. At that point, the recruiter can provide information on the target salary range for a specific position. (Actual salary offers will vary based on experience, education, and skills as well as the location of the job.)

Pay for hourly positions is set by individual facilities based on local wage rates.

What benefits does Weyerhaeuser offer?

Does Weyerhaeuser offer flexible work arrangements like telecommuting or flextime?

Yes. Flexible arrangements are available when work can be done on a nontraditional schedule or from home. Requests for flexible work arrangements are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. (Some positions simply cannot be performed from home and others require the ability to work a specific schedule.) Examples of our flexible arrangements include:

  • Four 10s: Four 10-hour work days per week
  • Nine 9s: Five 9-hour days in a week followed by four 9-hour days in the next week
  • Part-time work with full-time benefits (U.S.: 25+ hours per week; Canada: 15+ hours per week)
  • Job sharing
