One of the World's Most Ethical Companies

In 2009, Weyerhaeuser was named one of the "World's Most Ethical Companies" by the Ethisphere Institute. This third annual list from the institute features 99 companies across 35 industries. International Paper and Svenska Cellulosa were also listed in the Forestry, Paper and Packaging industry category.

Corporate Responsibility Officers' 100 Best Corporate Citizens 2009

Weyerhaeuser has been named to the Corporate Responsibility Officers' 100 Best Corporate Citizens 2009. We are ranked #37, and are the only Forestry and Forest Products company included in this year's list.

Fortune Second Most Admired

Fortune magazine ranked Weyerhaeuser the second most admired forest and paper products company in America in 2009, a position Weyerhaeuser has held since 1988.

The rankings are based on a survey of industry executives and financial analysts who rate companies in eight categories.

Secretary’s Award for Corporate Excellence: Finalist

Weyerhaeuser in Uruguay was selected as one of eleven finalists for the U.S. Secretary of State’s prestigious 2008 Award for Corporate Excellence (ACE). These U.S. companies were chosen from 61 nominations submitted by American ambassadors around the world. ACE finalists are international business leaders who recognize the vital role that U.S. businesses play abroad as good corporate citizens. Weyerhaeuser in Uruguay was recognized for supporting social and charitable programs that benefit local communities, for providing safety and injury prevention training, and for protecting the local environment with green energy generation and education.

Corporate Philanthropy

Weyerhaeuser Company is among the top 75 corporate philanthropists located in the Puget Sound area of Washington, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal. The list was determined by overall funding levels for 2008.
