Sponsorships

Weyerhaeuser provides a limited number of corporate sponsorships each year in support of events and activities that contribute to economic or social well-being in our operating communities and have strong local support. Preference is given to events and programs with a connection to the forest industry, forest management, or the environment.

Weyerhaeuser must receive appropriate recognition and acknowledgment of our sponsorship in all promotional materials and program information.

Requests for corporate sponsorship grants are accepted from eligible organizations for:

• Conferences, conventions, and meetings that are directly related to the forest industry, the environment, local communities, or other key stakeholders
• Communication initiatives that relate directly to issues impacting the forest industry or the environment
• Education programs and awareness initiatives that foster public understanding of the forest products industry or the environment
• Fundraising and recognition events related to the forest industry or environment or where there is a direct connection to our business
• Educational, arts, cultural, historical, civic, wellness, and sports events and activities that contribute to the quality of life in our operating communities

Weyerhaeuser does not sponsor:

• Individuals
• Conferences and meetings that take place outside of our operating communities, unless related to the forest industry
• Charitable fundraising events
• Professional sports teams
• Religious or advocacy groups
• Public and private school events such as trips and festivals; however, local units may provide funding for schools in their communities
• University or college competitions, unless related to the forest industry
