Activities and Programs

Cool Springs offers many fun and exciting activities and programs for people of all ages!

Our K-5 activities provide an opportunity for younger students to experience hands-on fun while learning. For older students, our 6-12 activities provide real-world examples of forestry and the environment, while allowing teachers to customize curriculum. This summer, we are excited to offer our first annual Cool Springs Eco Summer Day Camp for students in grades 1-8. For more detail, contact us.

For teachers, we offer a unique summer experience through our Teachers on Summer Assignment program, where teachers have the opportunity to create classroom materials while learning about forestry.

For students of all ages, we offer lifelong learning classes ranging from nature photography to outdoor survival basics, as well as various tour options open to the public. This year, we have a new Stand Up Paddle Ecotour on the Swift Creek and Neuse River. Come explore the water side of Cool Springs

Miles of trails at Cool Springs provide an opportunity for hikers of all skill—and age—levels to learn about nature while enjoying a casual hike.

And, finally, we offer fantastic opportunities for scout groups and are a perfect location to host your next workshop or meeting.
