Mack L. Hogans

Mack L. Hogans joined Weyerhaeuser Company in 1979. He has been
a forester, a branch manager for the Building Materials Distribution
business, and a government affairs manager. He was the director
of Government Affairs and public-policy issues management before
being appointed vice president of Government Affairs in December
1990.
In April 1995,
Hogans was elected senior vice president, Corporate Affairs. He
currently leads the Environment, Health and Safety Department, the
Law Department, Government Affairs, Corporate Contributions, and
Corporate Communications. He also is chair of the Weyerhaeuser Company
Foundation.
Before joining
Weyerhaeuser Company, he worked for the U.S. Forest Service, the
Maryland National Capital Parks and Planning Commission, and the
National Park Service.
Hogans holds
a bachelor of science degree in forestry and natural resources from
the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources and a master
of science degree in forest resources from the University of Washington.
He attended Tuskegee University as a pre-forestry student. He is
also a graduate of Stanford Universitys Graduate School of
Businesss executive program.
Hogans serves
as a board member for The Association of Washington Business, the
Washington Council on International Trade, the Seattle Chamber of
Commerce, the University of Puget Sound, the Zion Preparatory Academy,
the Public Affairs Council, the Discovery Institute and The Nature
Conservancy.
