From a Builders’ Show debut to real-world market trials, AeroStrand™ LSL continues to take shape with input from the people who build, design and support modern homes.
When AeroStrand™ LSL made its debut at the 2026 International Builders' Show, it sparked conversations about a challenge many builders, engineers, architects and trade partners face every day: how to create more space for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems without compromising structural performance.
Now, that conversation is moving from the show floor to the jobsite.
BUILT ON A FAMILIAR FOUNDATION
AeroStrand LSL is a next-generation engineered floor system built on the same TimberStrand® LSL technology that has been trusted in residential construction for years.
As home designs continue to evolve, so do the demands placed on floor framing. Larger HVAC systems, more complex electrical layouts and increased plumbing requirements often mean additional coordination between trades. AeroStrand LSL was designed with those realities in mind, creating intentional open space within the framing system to help make installation easier and improve workflow throughout the construction process.
The goal is simple: help builders and trades spend less time working around structural components and more time keeping projects moving forward. By combining proven structural technology with a new approach to access, AeroStrand LSL represents another way we're exploring solutions that help address the needs of today's building industry.
TAKING THE NEXT STEP: WHY MARKET TRIALS MATTER
The best ideas get better when they're tested in the field. Since its introduction, AeroStrand LSL has advanced from concept development into structured market trials.
These trials will allow selected builders and industry partners to evaluate the product in real-world applications and provide feedback on installation, trade accessibility and overall jobsite experience. Just as important, they will help us better understand where AeroStrand LSL can deliver meaningful value across different home designs and construction methods.
Feedback from builders, engineers, architects, dealers and trade professionals will help shape the future of AeroStrand LSL and ensure we're delivering a solution that addresses real-world challenges.
WHAT'S NEXT?
AeroStrand LSL is not yet available for general order. Right now, our focus is on learning, refining and validating performance through market trials. We'll continue sharing updates as we reach new milestones, and we'll bring builders, engineers, architects, dealers and industry partners along for the journey.
JUST GETTING STARTED
Innovation doesn't happen in isolation. It happens through collaboration, testing and a willingness to explore new possibilities. AeroStrand LSL is still early in its journey, but we're excited about the potential ahead and grateful for the partners helping us shape what's next in floor framing.
