Our new San Antonio distribution center.
On Oct. 12, Weyerhaeuser employees, business leaders, vendors, community members and civic leaders came together to celebrate the grand opening of our brand-new distribution center in San Antonio, Texas.
San Antonio began operations as a temporary location in March 2022, complementing our distribution centers in Dallas and Houston to better serve the fast-growing housing market in Texas — and to allow our Houston distribution center to expand its service area into Louisiana. Once the temporary yard was up and running, construction began on the new facility.

“Our customers trust us to deliver for them, and this new distribution center expands our ability to live up to their expectations,” says Clarence Wilkerson, East Division general manager. “There were many steps, backed by many people, that brought us from initial research into the best location to serve our customers to building this state-of-the-art center. We couldn’t have done it without the dedication and support of our entire project team and every San Antonio and Houston distribution center employee.”
Clarence was joined at the ribbon-cutting event by more than a dozen members of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce members, along with representatives from supply partners, dealer and builder customers, and our employees and their families.
