Who is eligible to submit a privacy request under the CCPA?

 You must be a California resident to submit a privacy request. The CCPA applies only to California residents.

Can employees submit a request under the CCPA?

Yes. Effective January 1, 2023, employees, former employees, and job applicants who are California residents may submit requests under the CCPA.

What personal information does Weyerhaeuser collect?

Our CCPA privacy notice describes the type of personal information we collect and for what purposes.

Do I need to create an account with Weyerhaeuser to make a request?

If you do not have an account with Weyerhaeuser, you are not required to create an account. However, if you have an existing account, we may verify your identity using the existing authentication practices for the account.

What information do I need to provide to verify my identity?

When you submit a privacy request, we will ask you for information to verify your identity. Generally, we will try to request information that we have previously obtained, which is specific to you and evidences your relationship with Weyerhaeuser. For example:

  • if you are a customer, we may ask about your most recent product order;
  • if you are an employee, we may ask for your employee number;
  • if you are a recreational lease holder, we may ask about your lease;
  • if you are a shareholder, we may ask about your activity on our Investors website.

How will you contact me after I submit a privacy request?

We will post a response for you. To follow up and review any responses from us, return to your privacy request at Then click on the “Follow Up” button and log in using your password and the report key that you received upon submission of your request.

How soon will I receive a response to my request?

We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 days and will post a response within 45 days. During that time, we may respond with a request that you further verify your identity or authority, and/or with a notice that we may need an additional 45 days to respond to your request.

Can someone fraudulently request a copy of my social security number?

No. CCPA regulations prohibit us from providing government-issued ID numbers (such as Social Security or driver’s license numbers), financial account numbers, health insurance or medical identification numbers, account passwords, or security questions or answers.
